Meg Thomas owns three of the most-used survivor perks in Dead by Daylight, but they do not all deserve a slot in every build. This page ranks her own perks, then covers the best perks to pair with them — with the exact numbers, and notes on what the recent nerfs actually changed.
Meg’s own perks, ranked
1. Sprint Burst — the best of the three
+50% Haste for 3 seconds when you start running, 40-second Exhausted cooldown (tier III).
Sprint Burst became the default exhaustion perk after Dead Hard was reworked, and it has held that spot. Its advantage over every alternative is that it needs no setup. Lithe requires a window. Balanced Landing requires a drop. Sprint Burst just works, anywhere on the map, the instant you need distance.
The cost is discipline. It fires automatically when you begin running, and exhaustion does not recover while you run. If you sprint everywhere, you will not have it in chase.
2. Adrenaline — the best endgame perk she has
Heals one health state and grants +50% Haste for 3 seconds once the exit gates are powered, 40-second Exhausted cooldown (tier III).
Patch 7.7.0 cut the haste from 5 seconds to 3 and removed its interaction with the Nightmare’s dream world, but the core value is untouched: a free health state at the exact moment matches are decided. In solo queue especially, the endgame is the deadliest phase, and this perk regularly converts a loss into an escape.
Note the exhaustion conflict — Adrenaline and Sprint Burst share the Exhausted status. Running both is common and fine, but the second one to trigger does nothing if you are still exhausted.
3. Quick & Quiet — situational, but excellent when it lands
Suppresses the loud noise notification and sound from rushed vaults and locker entries, 15-second cooldown (tier III).
This is the weakest of the three in a vacuum and the strongest in the right build. On its own it saves you occasionally. Paired with Dance With Me, it becomes a genuine disappearing act: no noise notification, no scratch marks, and a killer who has to guess.
Best perks to pair with Meg’s kit
For surviving the tunnel
- Decisive Strike — the anti-tunnel standard. If a killer comes straight back for you off hook, this buys the time Sprint Burst then converts into distance.
- Off the Record — endurance and suppressed grunts after unhook. Pairs naturally with a speed-first survivor.
- Resurgence — a large heal progress boost after being unhooked, which keeps you useful instead of hiding to self-heal.
For chase extension
- Lithe — a speed burst after a rushed vault. Strong, but remember it shares Exhausted with Sprint Burst, so you are picking one as your primary.
- Dance With Me — no scratch marks after a rushed vault or locker exit. The natural partner to Quick & Quiet.
- Windows of Opportunity — shows pallets and windows. Unglamorous, and it makes a speed survivor dramatically better because you always know where the next loop is.
For the endgame
- Hope — a flat haste boost once the gates are open, stacking with the escape phase Adrenaline is already built for.
- Déjà Vu — reveals generator groupings and helps you avoid a three-gen, which is the most common way a winnable match slowly becomes unwinnable.
Perks to skip on Meg
- Made for This — heavily nerfed. It now only grants haste while you are suffering from Deep Wound, not simply while injured. Older Meg guides still recommend it as an endgame staple; that advice is out of date.
- Self-Care — reworked and no longer worth a slot for most players. Healing yourself slowly in a corner is time the killer spends pressuring generators.
- A third exhaustion perk — Sprint Burst, Lithe, Balanced Landing, and Adrenaline all trigger the same status. Two is the practical ceiling.
