- Glass-lined beats plain steel in hard water. Most of India has hard water, and scale is what actually kills geysers. A glass-lined or titanium-coated tank is worth the extra few hundred rupees.
- Three litres is right for a kitchen; five is not. An instant heater reheats continuously, so a bigger tank mostly means a bigger object on your wall and a longer initial wait.
