Buying tips
- Check the pressure rating before anything else. If you live above roughly the fifth floor, or your building uses a pressure pump, a unit rated below about 6 bar will fail early. 8 bar models exist for exactly this reason.
- Glass-lined beats plain steel in hard water. Most of India has hard water, and scale is what actually kills geysers. A glass-lined or titanium-coated tank is worth the extra few hundred rupees.
